“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten.”
There is a reason this old saying has endured. It applies to homes, cars, contractors, furniture and nearly anything else that represents a meaningful investment. Vehicle wraps are no different.
Shopping around is smart. Comparing prices is smart. But price is only one part of what you are buying.
With a vehicle wrap, much of the difference between one quote and another may not be obvious on the day you receive it. It can be found in the material being used, the experience of the designer and installer, how the vehicle is prepared, how edges and difficult areas are finished, whether the graphics were properly produced for the vehicle, and perhaps most importantly, who will be standing behind the work months or years later.
A lower price isn't necessarily an indication of lower quality, just as a higher price doesn't automatically guarantee better work. The better question is what am I receiving for my investment, and who am I trusting to deliver it?
That is particularly important with vehicle wraps because the finished product has to do more than look good when it leaves the shop. It has to survive weather, washing, road use and thousands of miles while continuing to represent you or your business well.
At WrapJax, we've had the privilege of doing this since 2008, when companies dedicated specifically to vehicle wraps were still relatively uncommon. Nearly two decades later, the relationships we've built within the industry, the customers who continue to return to us, and the experiences shared through our Google Reviews mean as much to us as the wraps themselves. Longevity doesn't mean we've never made a mistake. It means we've been here long enough to learn, improve and, most importantly, remain accountable for the work we do.
There will almost always be someone willing to do something for less. And sometimes, that lower price really is a great deal.
But when you're making a significant investment, perhaps the goal shouldn't simply be to find the lowest price.
It should be to find the greatest value long after the price has been forgotten.
